The CLEVELAND C11452 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiAlN coating, this bit delivers heat resistance and extended tool life in hard and abrasive materials. It carries a wire gauge size of 52, equating to 0.0635 inches in decimal, with a 135-degree split point for accurate self-centering entry. The parabolic flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during deep-hole drilling. The straight-cylindrical shank provides a secure grip in standard drill chucks without slipping.
This bit is suited for production and maintenance drilling in cast iron and stainless steel, as well as other ferrous and hard alloy materials. The TiAlN coating significantly raises surface hardness and oxidation resistance compared to uncoated cobalt tooling, making the C11452 a practical choice for shops and field techs who drill through tough material consistently. The 1-7/8 inch overall length fits standard jobber-length applications where reach and rigidity must be balanced. It is sold individually and used by machinists, maintenance technicians, pipefitters, and sheet metal tradespeople.
Designed for use in standard jobber-length drill applications targeting cast iron and stainless steel workpieces. Compatible with any drill press, hand drill, or CNC machine tool equipped with a chuck or collet that accepts a 0.0635 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Belongs to Cleveland Series 2075A.
Secure the shank fully in the chuck or collet before operation and verify runout is within acceptable tolerance for the application. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling stainless steel or cast iron to extend tool life, noting this bit does not have through-coolant capability. Follow machine tool manufacturer speed and feed recommendations for cobalt tooling at this diameter. Inspect the cutting edge before each use and replace if chipping or wear is present to avoid workpiece damage.
