The CLEVELAND C11434 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for precision drilling in hard and abrasive materials. Manufactured from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiAlN coating, this bit handles elevated cutting temperatures better than standard HSS tooling. It carries a wire gauge size of 34, equal to 0.1110 inches in decimal, and features a 135-degree split point that reduces walking on entry and lowers the thrust needed to start a hole. Overall length is 2.625 inches with a 1.5-inch flute. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly in standard drill chucks. This bit is intended for use by machinists, maintenance technicians, and metalworking trades.
The C11434 is suited for drilling ferrous metals, stainless steel, titanium, and other high-hardness materials where standard HSS bits lose their edge prematurely. The parabolic flute geometry improves chip evacuation in deeper holes and reduces heat buildup in the cut zone. The TiAlN coating adds a thermal barrier that extends tool life in dry or minimally lubricated cutting conditions. This bit is packaged individually and is appropriate for tool-room, production, and field maintenance applications where wire-gauge precision is required.
Designed as a standard jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size 34 (0.1110 inches), compatible with any drill press, hand drill, or CNC spindle accepting a straight-cylindrical shank of 0.1110 inches in diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with metalcutting operations. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and verify runout before drilling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling stainless steel or titanium to maximize tool life, even though the TiAlN coating supports dry cutting in many ferrous applications. Disconnect or de-energize the drill press or machine tool and allow all motion to stop completely before changing or inspecting the bit.
