The CLEVELAND C11401 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit in wire gauge size 1, with a decimal diameter of 0.2280 inches. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiAlN coating, it is engineered for demanding hole-making in hard and abrasive materials. The 135-degree split point reduces thrust and allows the bit to self-center without a pilot hole. A parabolic flute geometry improves chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during deep or intermittent drilling cycles. This bit is installed by machinists and metalworking tradespeople using standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, or hand-held power drills with appropriate chucks.

The C11401 is suited for production and maintenance drilling in cast iron, stainless steel, and other hard ferrous metals where a standard HSS bit would wear prematurely.
