The CLEVELAND C04619 is a screw machine length (stub length) drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metal fabrication, machining, and maintenance applications. It is manufactured from high-speed steel with a bright, uncoated finish and features a standard 118-degree split point with web thinning for improved center-starting performance. The bit measures 39/64 inch (0.6094 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 4.25 inches and a flute length of 2.75 inches. The shorter body compared to jobber-length bits provides increased rigidity, which reduces deflection and chatter in drill press and CNC turret applications. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die workers, and maintenance mechanics are the primary users of this series.
The C04619 is suited for drilling alloy steel and aluminum in production and repair environments. Its straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without the need for adapters. The shorter overall length makes it well-suited for tight-clearance fixtures, multi-spindle drill heads, and turret lathes where a jobber-length bit would flex or interfere. The right-hand cutting direction is compatible with all standard clockwise-rotating spindles.
