The CLEVELAND C01024 is a jobber length drill bit sized to wire gauge number 76, with a decimal diameter of 0.0200 inches. It is manufactured from high speed steel with an oxide coating that provides basic lubricity and corrosion resistance during drilling operations. The bit features a 118-degree standard drill point angle, a two-flute regular spiral configuration, and a straight-cylindrical shank with the same 0.0200-inch diameter as the cutting end. Overall length is 7/8 inches with a flute length of 3/16 inches. This is a general-purpose, right-hand-cut bit suited for drilling in cast iron and steel in production or maintenance shop environments.
This drill bit is designed for use in small-diameter drilling applications in cast iron and steel workpieces. The wire gauge 76 size makes it appropriate for precision work such as tapping pilot holes, electrical-panel knockouts, instrument panel fabrication, and similar close-tolerance operations where a 0.0200-inch hole diameter is required. It conforms to ASME B94.11M and DIN 338 standards and carries an ANSI specification designation. Installation in a standard drill chuck or drill press is typical. Sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or production drill bit for applications requiring a 0.0200-inch diameter hole in cast iron or steel. Compatible with any standard drill chuck or machine spindle that accepts a 0.0200-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
This bit is installed by machinists, tool-and-die workers, maintenance technicians, and electricians using a standard drill press, hand drill, or CNC drilling machine. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck before operation and verify runout is within acceptable limits for the application. At this diameter, low feed pressure and appropriate cutting speed for the workpiece material are critical to prevent bit breakage. Always wear appropriate eye protection when drilling metal.
