The CLE-LINE C67203 is a straight handle tap wrench designed for threading operations in metal, plastic, and similar materials. It accepts taps ranging from 5/32 inches to 3/4 inches, covering metric sizes M4 through M19, making it suitable for a broad range of tapping tasks on the bench or in the field. At 15 inches overall length, the wrench provides leverage for controlled torque application without a ratcheting mechanism, keeping the tool simple and direct. Machinists, pipefitters, and general maintenance technicians use this type of wrench when hand-threading tapped holes to precise depth.
This tap wrench suits light to medium hand-tapping work in residential and commercial maintenance, plumbing rough-in, and fabrication settings. It handles a pipe tap range of 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch, which covers common NPT pipe tap sizes used in gas and water line work. The straight handle design allows two-handed operation for steady, axial feed when starting a tap square to the workpiece.
Designed for use with standard straight-shank hand taps in the 5/32 inch to 3/4 inch range, including NPT pipe taps from 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch, and metric taps M4 through M19.
Use by machinists, pipefitters, or maintenance technicians performing hand-tapping operations. Before tapping, secure the workpiece firmly and ensure the tap is started square to the hole to prevent tap breakage. Apply appropriate cutting fluid for the material being threaded. Do not apply power tools to this wrench handle.
