The CLE-LINE C66113 is a 29-piece cobalt (HSS-CO) jobber length drill bit set in the 1501-TT series, finished with a Titanium Nitride (TiN) tip coating for extended cutting life in hard and abrasive materials. Bits range from 1/16 inch to 1/2 inch in 1/64-inch increments, covering the full fractional jobber range in a single indexed metal case. The 135-degree split point geometry reduces walking on contact and allows drilling without a center punch in most metalworking applications. At 7.3 pounds, this is a heavy-duty set built for production and job-site use by machinists, pipefitters, ironworkers, and general contractors.
The C66113 set is intended for metalworking applications where a broad range of fractional hole sizes is needed in a single kit. The cobalt steel construction handles stainless steel, cast iron, hardened alloys, and other tough materials that standard HSS bits cannot sustain. The TiN-tipped coating reduces heat buildup and extends tip life compared to uncoated equivalents. The included indexed metal case organizes all 29 bits in size order, making bit selection fast on a busy job site or in a shop environment.
Designed as a general-purpose jobber length drill bit set for fractional inch metalworking applications. Straight shanks are compatible with standard 3-jaw drill chucks on corded and cordless drills, drill presses, and milling machines accepting up to 1/2-inch shank capacity.
These bits are installed and removed by a licensed machinist, tradesperson, or qualified technician using a standard keyed or keyless drill chuck. Secure the shank firmly in the chuck before drilling, and confirm the machine spindle is fully stopped before changing bits. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant for the base material when drilling ferrous metals to reduce heat buildup and extend bit life. Never force a stalled or overloaded bit; reduce feed pressure and confirm correct speed settings for the diameter in use.
