The CLE-LINE C65957 is a round threading die designed to cut external threads on rod, bolt stock, and cylindrical workpieces. It cuts a 3/4-10 UNC right-hand thread profile using a high-speed steel (HSS) construction that retains cutting hardness under heat and friction. The die measures 2 inches in outside diameter and 5/8 inch in thickness, fitting standard 2-inch die stocks and holders. An adjustable design allows the operator to fine-tune the thread fit by compressing or expanding the die slightly for a tighter or looser class of fit. Machinists, pipefitters, and maintenance mechanics use this die for production and repair threading work.
This die is suited for threading mild steel, aluminum, brass, and similar machinable materials in shop and field environments. The 3/4-10 UNC designation is a coarse-pitch thread commonly found in structural fasteners, machine bolts, and general-purpose mechanical assemblies. The Series 0710 classification identifies the die within CLE-LINE's standard round die lineup, which is designed for use with conventional 2-inch die stocks available from most tooling suppliers. Typical applications include fabricating threaded rod, repairing damaged fastener threads, and producing custom-length bolts in maintenance and manufacturing settings.
Designed for use with standard 2-inch round die stocks and die holders accepting Series 0710 CLE-LINE round dies. Cuts 3/4-10 UNC external threads per the Unified National Coarse thread standard.
Threading dies should be installed and operated by machinists or qualified tradespeople familiar with hand and machine threading procedures. Secure the die firmly in the die stock before use and apply appropriate cutting oil to the workpiece to reduce heat and extend die life. Ensure the workpiece diameter is properly sized to the nominal thread diameter before threading begins. Inspect the die for chips or damage before each use and never force a damaged die onto a workpiece.
