The CLE-LINE C23324 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit sized to Letter F (0.2570 inches) for cutting demanding metals and high-temperature alloys. It features a 135-degree split point that self-centers on contact, reducing walking and the need for a center punch. The gold-finished, web-thinned cobalt construction handles the heat generated when drilling aluminum, titanium, and superalloys. At 4.125 inches overall length with a 2.875-inch spiral flute, it fits standard drill chucks and drill presses used in metal fabrication, aerospace maintenance, and industrial shop work. Built to ASME B94.11M and rated heavy duty, this bit is designed for professionals who drill abrasive and hard materials regularly.
The C23324 is suited for production and maintenance drilling in aluminum, titanium, and superalloy workpieces where standard HSS bits lose their edge quickly. The regular spiral flute evacuates chips efficiently during through-hole and blind-hole operations. The straight-cylindrical shank at 0.2570 inches diameter seats cleanly in keyed or keyless chucks. It is appropriate for use in drill presses, CNC drilling centers, and hand drills where a jobber-length bit fits the application. The Series 1802 design targets high-performance cutting environments in aerospace, general manufacturing, and heavy equipment maintenance shops.
Designed for drilling aluminum, superalloy, and titanium workpieces (primary workpiece material codes H, K, N, P, S). Fits any drill press, CNC drill head, or hand drill accepting a 0.2570-inch straight-cylindrical shank.
Install and remove drill bits only with the drill fully powered down and, on drill presses or CNC equipment, with the spindle locked. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling to prevent bit deflection or workpiece movement. Use cutting fluid appropriate for the workpiece material to extend bit life and maintain hole tolerance. Inspect the split point for chipping before each use; a damaged point should not be used on tight-tolerance holes.
