The CLE-LINE C23207 is a jobber length drill bit in wire gauge size No. 7 (0.2010 inches), manufactured from high speed steel with an oxide coating for added wear resistance. It features a 135-degree split point for fast self-centering starts with reduced walking on contact. The spiral flute geometry is a regular helix with a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that improves chip evacuation and reduces feed pressure. Overall length is 3.625 inches with a flute length of 2.4375 inches. The straight-cylindrical shank diameter is 0.2010 inches, compatible with standard drill chucks. This bit is rated heavy duty and meets ASME B94.11M and DIN 338 standards.
Designed for drilling cast iron and steel in production and maintenance applications, the C23207 suits machinists, pipefitters, ironworkers, and general industrial trades. The right-hand cut and two-flute spiral design make it appropriate for use in both handheld and bench-mounted drilling equipment. At 3.625 inches overall length it fits standard jobber-length chuck clearances. The Series 1801 designation places it in a heavy duty performance tier intended for repetitive, close-tolerance work where diameter consistency matters. Diameter tolerance is held to +0.0000 to -0.0007 inches, supporting precise hole sizing without reaming in compatible materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use jobber length drill bit for standard three-jaw drill chucks accepting a 0.2010-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron and steel per CLE-LINE Series 1801 ratings.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and verify runout before drilling. Always wear appropriate eye protection and secure the workpiece against rotation before starting the cut. Do not exceed the spindle speed and feed rate appropriate for the workpiece material and bit diameter.
