Built from high speed steel (HSS) with a bright/uncoated finish, this bit features a 118-degree standard point angle and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust and improves chip evacuation at the cutting tip. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 5/16 inch in diameter, matching the drill diameter for direct chuck compatibility. Overall length is 4.5 inches with a flute length of 3.1875 inches and a shank length of approximately 1.3125 inches. Two spiral flutes in a regular helix carry chips out of the hole efficiently during right-hand rotation cuts.
