The CLE-LINE C22914 is a jobber-length twist drill bit designed for general-purpose drilling in metal, wood, plastic, and composite materials. Built from high speed steel with an oxide coating for added surface protection, it measures 14 mm (0.5512 inches) in diameter with an overall length of 160 mm (6.2992 inches) and a flute length of 108 mm (4.2520 inches). The standard 118-degree split-point geometry provides a self-centering start and clean entry. Web thinning reduces thrust requirements and helps maintain accuracy at the centerline. This bit suits machinists, tool-and-die shops, fabricators, and maintenance technicians working with common ferrous and non-ferrous stock.
The C22914 is rated for use on aluminum and other general-purpose workpiece materials including non-ferrous metals and plastics. The straight cylindrical shank seats in standard three-jaw drill chucks on drill presses, lathes, and hand-held power drills. The regular spiral and two-flute configuration support efficient chip evacuation in through-hole and blind-hole applications. At 0.321 pounds, it is a solid, production-grade bit suited to repetitive drilling cycles in light manufacturing and field maintenance environments. Series 1899 is CLE-LINE's standard jobber-length offering for this diameter range.
Designed for use in standard three-jaw drill chucks accepting a 14 mm (0.5512-inch) straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for drilling aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and plastics. Falls within the Series 1899 diameter range of 12.50 mm to 15.00 mm (0.5000 to 0.6500 inches decimal).
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians using a drill press, lathe, or hand-held power drill with a compatible chuck. Secure the shank fully in the chuck and confirm runout before drilling. Use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling steel or harder non-ferrous alloys to preserve edge life. Power down the machine and lock out the spindle before changing or inspecting the bit.
