The CLE-LINE C18098 is a No. 45 wire-gauge jobber-length drill bit ground from high-speed steel (HSS) and finished with a black/gold oxide coating. It cuts a 0.0820-inch diameter hole with a 135-degree split-point tip that self-centers on contact, reducing the need for a center punch on flat stock. The regular spiral flute runs 1.125 inches, and the bit measures 2.125 inches overall. Right-hand cutting direction and a straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard drill chucks. The heavy-duty grade construction is suited for production drilling environments as well as bench work.

This bit is designed for drilling steel and cast iron in light industrial, maintenance, and fabrication applications. The 135-degree split point reduces thrust force compared to a conventional 118-degree point, making it a practical choice for hard materials and thin-gauge workpieces where walking and burring are concerns.
