The CHICAGO-LATROBE 54060 is a cobalt jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in tough materials including stainless steel and alloy steel. Built to M42 cobalt material grade and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this bit runs cooler and holds an edge longer than standard high-speed steel alternatives. The 135-degree split point self-centers on contact, reducing walk-out and the need for a center punch. At 4-1/4 inches overall length with a 2-15/16-inch flute, it fits standard jobber-length drill chucks and is suited for hand-held drills, drill presses, and CNC applications.
