It is manufactured from high speed steel with a TiAlN coating, which extends tool life and supports elevated cutting speeds. The bit features a 135-degree split point for fast penetration and reduced walking on entry, and a two-flute regular spiral design for efficient chip evacuation. The overall length is 2.875 inches with a flute length of 1.75 inches. It is suited for use in CNC drilling centers, drill presses, and hand-held power tools in aerospace, defense, and precision machining applications. Installation and use are handled by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
The 42699 is sized at wire gauge No. 29, equivalent to 0.1360 inches in diameter. Its web-thinned, tapered web construction reduces thrust requirements during drilling, making it especially effective in titanium per NAS 907 Type B specification. The straight-cylindrical shank, measuring 1.125 inches in length, seats securely in standard drill chucks and collets. It is intended for precision hole work in aerospace-grade materials and production environments where consistent diameter tolerance is required. The drill bit diameter tolerance is held to -0.0007 to 0.0000 inches, ensuring close-fit hole accuracy.

Install and remove drill bits only when the spindle is fully stopped and power is locked out. Ensure the shank is fully seated and the chuck or collet is tightened to the tool holder manufacturer specifications before initiating a cut.
