The 135-degree split point is self-centering, which reduces walking on entry and eliminates the need for a center punch on most materials. The oxide finish provides a basic level of surface protection. Cutting direction is right hand with a two-flute spiral configuration and a tapered, web-thinned web for improved chip clearance in deep holes.
