The CHARLOTTE PIPE XBRS-MA-34LF is a 3/4 inch CTS CPVC low-lead brass male adapter designed for hot and cold potable water distribution in residential and light commercial pressure piping systems. This Thompson-style fitting connects CPVC CTS pipe on one end to a male threaded brass connection on the other, providing a reliable transition point in FlowGuard Gold CPVC systems. It is rated for continuous service at temperatures up to 180 degrees F and is built to handle the sustained pressure demands typical of residential water distribution. No primer is required for the CPVC socket end, keeping installation straightforward for working plumbers.
This adapter is used in residential and light commercial hot and cold water supply systems built with FlowGuard Gold CPVC CTS pipe. It is a common fitting at transition points where CPVC distribution lines connect to threaded brass valves, fixtures, manifolds, or shutoffs. The low-lead brass construction meets current federal and state low-lead drinking water standards, making it suitable for potable water applications. It is manufactured in the USA.
Designed for use with FlowGuard Gold CPVC CTS pipe and fittings in 3/4 inch hot and cold potable water pressure distribution systems. Compatible with standard 3/4 inch CTS CPVC solvent-cement connections on the pipe side and standard 3/4 inch male iron pipe thread (MIP) on the brass end.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for CPVC CTS systems. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting and fitting. Use the appropriate CPVC solvent cement on the socket end — no primer is required — and apply thread sealant tape or compound rated for use with brass fittings on the MIP end. Do not overtighten the threaded brass connection, as this can crack adjacent fittings.
