The CHARLOTTE PIPE XBRS-FA-12LF is a 1/2 inch low-lead brass female adapter designed for use with FlowGuard Gold CPVC CTS piping systems. This Thompson-style fitting connects CPVC pipe to female iron pipe (FIP) threaded connections in residential and light commercial plumbing applications. It is engineered for hot and cold potable water distribution in pressure systems where temperatures do not exceed 180 degrees F. The low-lead brass construction meets stringent drinking water standards, and the CPVC socket end requires no primer for installation, keeping the workflow clean and straightforward. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting type.
This adapter is used in FlowGuard Gold CPVC CTS hot and cold water distribution systems installed in residential and commercial buildings. It is suited for pressure systems requiring a transition between CPVC tubing and FIP-threaded metallic components such as valves, manifolds, or supply risers. Because CPVC does not rust or corrode, this fitting is well-suited for applications where long-term water quality and system integrity are priorities. Its design follows the Thompson Style 302-413NL configuration for compatibility within that fitting family.
Designed for use with FlowGuard Gold CPVC CTS piping systems in 1/2 inch size. Thompson Style configuration matches the 302-413NL fitting series for hot and cold potable water pressure systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before making any connections. Apply CPVC-compatible cement to the socket end as directed by the cement manufacturer; no primer is required on the CPVC side. Use appropriate thread sealant on the FIP brass threads and do not overtighten, as brass threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
