The CHARLOTTE PIPE XBRS-FA-114LF is a 1-1/4-inch female iron pipe (FIP) brass-to-CPVC female adapter designed to transition between threaded brass connections and CPVC piping systems. Built to the 2105L series standard and conforming to lead-free (LF) requirements, this fitting provides a secure threaded-to-solvent-weld connection point in potable water and hot-water distribution lines. It follows the Thompson style configuration, which is a widely recognized design in commercial and residential plumbing applications. Licensed plumbers install this fitting wherever a threaded brass supply line must transition to a CPVC run.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where CPVC pipe meets a brass-threaded female connection. Typical applications include water distribution systems, hot and cold supply lines, and retrofit scenarios where existing threaded brass valves or supply lines connect into new or existing CPVC runs. The lead-free construction makes it appropriate for use in potable water systems where low-lead compliance is required by local plumbing codes. The 302-416NL designation further confirms its non-lead material compliance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 1-1/4-inch CPVC piping systems requiring a transition to a female iron pipe threaded brass connection in residential and light commercial plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before beginning work. Apply CPVC-rated solvent cement to the socket end following the cement manufacturer's instructions, and use a properly sized pipe wrench when threading the brass FIP end onto the mating fitting. Do not overtighten the threaded brass connection, as this can crack the fitting body.
