The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC3/4X10-40 is a Schedule 40 PVC pipe in a 3/4-inch diameter by 120-inch (10-foot) straight length with plain ends. Manufactured from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), it is rated to a maximum working pressure of 289 psi and is sized for use in HVAC condensate drain systems as well as general plumbing drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications. The plain-end configuration accepts standard solvent-weld fittings. HVAC technicians and plumbers specify Schedule 40 PVC for its chemical resistance, lightweight handling, and ease of field cutting to required lengths.
This pipe is a standard specification for residential and light commercial HVAC condensate drain lines. It is also used in plumbing DWV systems where Schedule 40 PVC is permitted by the applicable code. The 120-inch full-stick length allows installers to run drain lines with minimal joints and reduces the number of couplings required in straight runs. Suitable for interior installations in conditioned spaces and utility areas.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or new-installation pipe for 3/4-inch Schedule 40 PVC condensate drain and plumbing systems using solvent-weld plain-end fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber in accordance with the International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Plumbing Code (IPC), or applicable local codes. Shut off the HVAC system or isolate the plumbing section before cutting into an existing line. Use a PVC pipe cutter or fine-tooth saw and deburr all cut ends before applying primer and solvent cement. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before restoring system operation.
