The Charlotte Pipe Foundry PVC100070600 is a Schedule 80 gray PVC pipe rated for demanding pressure applications in plumbing, irrigation, and industrial piping systems. Measuring 3/4 inch in diameter and 20 feet in length, it features a solid wall construction with plain ends, delivering a pressure rating of 690 psi. Manufactured to Type 1, Grade 1 specifications, this pipe meets ASTM D-1784 and ASTM D-1785 standards and carries NSF Standard 14 and 61 certification for potable water contact. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this pipe where Schedule 40 wall thickness is insufficient for the operating pressure or chemical environment.
Schedule 80 PVC pipe is commonly used in residential and commercial water supply lines, chemical distribution systems, irrigation mains, and industrial process piping where higher pressure ratings and greater wall thickness are required. The plain end design accommodates solvent-cement socket fittings standard to Schedule 80 systems. Its gray color distinguishes it from Schedule 40 white pipe on the job site, reducing misidentification during installation.
Designed for use with Schedule 80 PVC socket fittings and solvent-cement joining systems in 3/4 inch pressure piping applications meeting ASTM D-1785 dimensional requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Cut pipe square using a miter box or wheel cutter, deburr all cut ends, and use only solvent cement rated for Schedule 80 PVC before joining. Shut off and depressurize the water supply completely before cutting into any live line. Allow full cure time per the solvent cement manufacturer instructions before pressurizing the system.
