The Charlotte Pipe Foundry PVC043000800 is a Schedule 40 foam core PVC pipe designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications in non-pressure systems. Also known as cell core or foam core pipe, it features a cellular inner layer surrounded by solid PVC skins, reducing overall weight compared to solid-wall Schedule 40 pipe while maintaining the required outside diameter for standard DWV fittings. This pipe ships in plain end configuration and meets ASTM F-891 and NSF Standard 14 requirements. Licensed plumbers and plumbing contractors install this product in residential and light commercial drain and vent systems.

This 3-inch x 20-foot pipe is suited for above-ground DWV rough-in work including drain lines, vent stacks, and waste branch lines in residential construction, multi-family housing, and light commercial buildings. Because it is rated for non-pressure applications only, it is not appropriate for potable water supply, pressurized irrigation, or any system that operates under sustained internal pressure. Plain end joints are made using solvent cement in accordance with manufacturer and code requirements.
