The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC 7300 3 X 20 is a Schedule 40 PVC pressure and drain-waste-vent pipe measuring 3 inches in nominal diameter and 20 feet in length. Manufactured via injection molding from PVC conforming to ASTM D1785 and D2665, it delivers a pressure rating of 260 psi at 73 degrees F and a maximum temperature rating of 140 degrees F. The plain-end configuration accepts solvent-cement joints and is well-suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems. High tensile and impact strength make it a reliable choice for both pressure lines and DWV applications. Primer and solvent cement are required for all joints. Made in the USA.
This pipe is designed for drain, waste, and vent systems as well as pressure applications in residential and commercial construction. Its solid-wall construction provides better sound deadening than PVC Schedule 40 DWV foam core pipe, making it a preferred option in multi-unit residential builds or any install where noise transmission through walls is a concern. For pressure runs involving direction changes, sharply angled pressure fittings are required. Licensed plumbers install this pipe in new construction and retrofit projects governed by applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC and UPC.
Designed for use with standard Schedule 40 PVC fittings and couplings in DWV and pressure plumbing systems. Compatible with solvent-cement joining methods per applicable ASTM standards. For pressure direction changes, sharply angled pressure fittings must be used.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local, state, and national plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing system. All joints require the use of an approved PVC primer and solvent cement applied per the cement manufacturer instructions. Do not use standard DWV fittings on pressure applications; sharply angled pressure fittings are required at all direction changes on pressurized runs.
