The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC 7300 3 X 10 is a Schedule 40 PVC pipe manufactured for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications in residential and commercial plumbing systems. Sized at 3 inches nominal diameter and 10 feet in length, this pipe carries a pressure rating of 260 psi at 73 degrees F and a temperature rating of 140 degrees F. The solid PVC construction delivers high tensile and impact strength with better sound deadening characteristics than Schedule 40 DWV foam core pipe. Installation requires primer and solvent cement. Plumbers and pipefitters working on new construction or retrofit DWV systems will find this pipe straightforward to cut, prime, and cement using standard trade practices. Made in the USA.
This pipe is suited for DWV installations in residential and light commercial buildings where Schedule 40 solid-wall PVC is specified. Common applications include drain lines, waste stacks, and vent piping routed through walls, floors, and ceilings. Plain end connections on both ends allow solvent-welded joints using ASTM-rated primer and cement. For any pressure service applications, sharply angled pressure fittings must be used at direction changes. The white finish is standard for Schedule 40 PVC and is compatible with common PVC DWV and pressure fittings of the same nominal diameter. This product meets NSF 14/61 and ASTM D1785/D2665 material specifications.
Designed for use in DWV plumbing systems requiring Schedule 40 solid-wall PVC pipe at 3-inch nominal diameter. Compatible with standard 3-inch PVC DWV and Schedule 40 pressure fittings joined using approved primer and solvent cement per applicable code.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and verify the system is depressurized before cutting into any existing line. Primer and solvent cement rated for PVC pipe are required for all joints; do not substitute adhesives not rated for PVC Schedule 40. For pressure applications, use sharply angled pressure fittings at all direction changes as specified by the manufacturer.
