The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-706X-2IN is a 2-inch PVC P-trap fitting designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications. It connects to the drain outlet of sinks, lavatories, and similar fixtures to provide the water seal required by plumbing codes, blocking sewer gases from entering occupied spaces. Joining is accomplished with standard solvent cement — no special cutting tools required. The fitting is rated for non-pressure, gravity-fed waste systems and is suitable for service where temperatures will not exceed 140 degrees F. Manufactured in the USA, it meets the dimensional and material standards expected of DWV fittings in residential and light commercial work.
This P-trap is intended for use in gravity-fed DWV piping systems in residential and light commercial construction or retrofit plumbing. Typical installations include under-sink drain assemblies for kitchen and bathroom fixtures where a 2-inch trap arm is called for. The solvent weld joint style produces a permanent, leak-resistant connection and is the standard joining method for PVC DWV work. Licensed plumbers and plumbing contractors are the primary installers, though the fitting also suits knowledgeable DIYers working within applicable local codes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-construction fitting for 2-inch PVC DWV piping systems. Compatible with standard Schedule 40 PVC DWV pipe and fittings joined using solvent cement per ASTM D2665 and applicable plumbing codes.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local code. Shut off the water supply and ensure the drain line is clear before beginning work. Clean and dry all mating surfaces, apply a compatible PVC primer and solvent cement, and allow adequate cure time before restoring flow. Do not use this fitting in pressurized systems or in applications where service temperatures exceed 140 degrees F.
