The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-612-2X2X1-1/2X1-1/2 is a reducing double wye fitting manufactured for PVC drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. It accepts a 2-inch main run with two 1-1/2-inch branch outlets, allowing a single fitting to handle dual branch connections in a gravity-fed drainage layout. Rated for non-pressure DWV service only, this fitting is suitable for systems where operating temperatures will not exceed 140 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and pipe fitters install this fitting during rough-in of residential and light commercial drain systems. PVC construction keeps weight low and simplifies handling on the job.
This double wye reducing fitting is used in gravity-fed waste elimination systems for residential and light commercial construction. Typical applications include bathroom group venting and waste collection, laundry drain stacks, and horizontal branch drain assemblies where two smaller-diameter drain lines need to tie into a 2-inch main. The reducing configuration eliminates the need for separate reducer couplings at each branch, cutting down on total joint count and material cost at rough-in.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-construction fitting for residential and light commercial PVC DWV piping systems operating at non-pressure, gravity-fed conditions.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local amendments. Shut off the water supply and ensure the drain system is empty and depressurized before cutting into an existing line. When solvent cementing, use a PVC DWV-rated primer and cement, follow the manufacturer pot life and cure time guidelines for ambient temperature conditions, and do not pressure-test the joint until cure is complete. This fitting is rated for non-pressure DWV service only and must not be installed in pressurized supply or irrigation lines.
