The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-601-6X6X4 is a PVC reducing wye fitting designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications in gravity-fed, non-pressure drainage systems. The fitting transitions from a 6-inch by 6-inch main run to a 4-inch branch outlet, making it well suited for stack tie-ins and branch connections in residential and commercial plumbing rough-in work. PVC construction keeps the fitting lightweight and corrosion-resistant. The material is rated for continuous service in systems where temperatures will not exceed 140 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This reducing wye is used in gravity-fed DWV piping systems in residential and commercial construction. Typical applications include main drain stacks, horizontal branch runs, and vent connections where a 4-inch branch must tie into a 6-inch main line. The fitting is compatible with standard PVC-DWV pipe and is joined using solvent cement. It may also be installed using threading, flanging, or roll-grooved joining methods where the application allows. All Charlotte Pipe products are manufactured in the USA.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for PVC DWV non-pressure drain, waste, and vent piping systems where a 6-inch by 6-inch by 4-inch reducing wye configuration is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and ensure the drain system is depressurized before cutting into existing lines. Solvent cement joints must be allowed to cure fully before the system is returned to service. Follow solvent cement manufacturer instructions for surface preparation, primer use, and cure time.
