The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-601-12X12X4 is a reducing wye fitting designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications in non-pressure, gravity-fed waste elimination systems. This fitting connects a 12-inch main line to a 4-inch branch line, making it a critical junction component in large-diameter residential or commercial DWV piping. PVC construction keeps the fitting lightweight without sacrificing durability. Rated for use in systems where temperatures will not exceed 140 degrees F, it meets standard DWV service conditions. Licensed plumbers rely on this fitting for main stack and branch drain configurations where a clean, reliable wye junction is required.
This reducing wye is suited for gravity-fed DWV systems in both residential and commercial construction. The 12 x 12 x 4 inch configuration is commonly found in main building drains, large floor drain tie-ins, and primary stack assemblies. Solvent cement joining is the standard installation method, though the fitting is also compatible with threading, flanging, and roll-grooved joining methods where applicable. All Charlotte Pipe fittings are manufactured in the USA.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for PVC DWV piping systems conforming to ASTM D3034 and related drain, waste, and vent standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and drain the system before cutting into any existing drain line. Solvent cement joints require proper primer and cement rated for PVC DWV service and must be allowed to cure fully before the system is returned to service. Do not use this fitting in pressure piping, hot water supply, or any system exceeding 140 degrees F.
