The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-601-10X10X6 is a 10 x 10 x 6 inch reducing wye fitting manufactured from PVC for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications. This gravity-fed fitting connects a 6-inch branch line into a 10-inch main drain run, allowing flow to merge at a gradual angle that reduces turbulence and supports proper drainage. It is a non-pressure fitting rated for service in systems where temperatures will not exceed 140 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and drain-system installers handle this fitting in new construction and retrofit projects where reducing branch connections are required.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial DWV systems installed under floors, in wall chases, or in below-slab drain configurations. It is suited for gravity-fed waste elimination systems where a main 10-inch horizontal or vertical run must accept a 6-inch branch tie-in. The solvent-cement joining method is standard for this fitting, though it is also compatible with threading, flanging, and roll-grooved joining methods depending on the system design. All Charlotte Pipe products are manufactured in the USA.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for PVC DWV piping systems conforming to ASTM D3034 or equivalent drain, waste, and vent standards.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers following applicable plumbing code requirements such as the IPC or local adopted equivalents. Shut off water supply and verify the drain line is clear before cutting into an existing run. Solvent cement joining requires proper primer application and adequate cure time before the system is returned to service. Ensure correct flow direction and branch angle alignment when positioning the wye in the drain run.
