The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-429-4X4X3X3 is a reducing double sanitary tee cross fitting designed for PVC drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. It accepts 4-inch inlets on the run and 3-inch inlets on the branch openings, allowing flow from four directions into a single gravity-fed drainage network. This fitting is rated for non-pressure DWV applications only and is not suitable for systems where temperatures exceed 140 degrees F. Lightweight PVC construction makes handling and positioning straightforward on the job. Licensed plumbers install this fitting as part of residential and light commercial drain and vent rough-in work.
This cross fitting is used where two drain lines and two vent or branch lines intersect within a gravity-fed waste elimination system. Common applications include multi-stack residential plumbing rough-ins and commercial DWV assemblies where a 4-inch main run must accept 3-inch branch connections. The fitting joins using standard solvent cement and requires no special cutting tools. It can also be installed with threading, flanging, or roll-grooved methods where the system design calls for it. All Charlotte Pipe fittings are manufactured in the USA.
Designed for use in non-pressure PVC DWV piping systems as an OEM-style reducing double sanitary tee cross where 4-inch run pipe meets 3-inch branch pipe.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and verify the system is depressurized before beginning work. When using solvent cement, follow manufacturer cure time requirements before allowing flow through the fitting. Do not use this fitting in pressurized supply lines or in systems where operating temperatures exceed 140 degrees F.
