This fitting is rated for non-pressure DWV applications only, with a maximum service temperature of 140 degrees F. This reducing cross is used in gravity-fed drain, waste, and vent systems where two branch lines at 1-1/2 inches need to tie into a 3-inch main stack or horizontal run. It is not rated for pressure service or for systems where fluid temperature exceeds 140 degrees F.
