The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-429-2X2X1-1/2X1-1/2 is a reducing double sanitary tee cross fitting designed for PVC drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. It connects 2-inch trunk lines with 1-1/2-inch branch outlets, making it suited for gravity-fed residential and light commercial drain configurations where two branch drains tie into a common stack or horizontal run. This fitting is rated for non-pressure DWV service only, with a maximum temperature of 140 degrees F. PVC construction keeps the fitting lightweight and straightforward to handle on the job. Licensed plumbers install this fitting using standard solvent cement joining methods following applicable plumbing codes.
This cross fitting is used where two branch drains at the same elevation need to connect to a common 2-inch DWV line. Typical applications include bathroom groups, laundry connections, and multi-fixture drain assemblies in residential and light commercial construction. The reducing configuration allows a 2-inch main line to accept two 1-1/2-inch branch inlets simultaneously, reducing the need for additional couplings or adapters in tight rough-in situations. It is not rated for pressure applications or systems exceeding 140 degrees F.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for residential and light commercial PVC DWV piping systems operating under gravity-fed, non-pressure conditions.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and ensure the drain system is depressurized before cutting into an existing line. Use a hand saw or PVC pipe cutter for clean square cuts, and apply PVC primer and solvent cement per manufacturer instructions when making solvent-welded joints. This fitting is not suitable for pressure piping, hot water supply lines, or systems where temperatures may exceed 140 degrees F.
