The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-401A-10X10X6 is a reducing straight tee fitting designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications in non-pressure, gravity-fed drainage systems. This fitting connects a 10-inch main run to a 6-inch branch outlet, making it well-suited for large-diameter drain trunk lines that require a reduced branch connection. Rated for service in systems where temperatures do not exceed 140 degrees F, it is manufactured from PVC material that is lightweight and compatible with standard solvent-cement joining methods. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in residential and commercial DWV rough-in work.
This tee is used in gravity-fed waste and vent piping systems where a 10-inch main line must transition to a 6-inch branch line. Typical applications include building drain mains, stack bases, and large-diameter horizontal drain runs in commercial construction or multi-unit residential projects. The fitting is not rated for pressure service and must be installed within systems where operating temperatures remain below 140 degrees F. Charlotte Pipe manufactures this fitting in the USA.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for non-pressure PVC DWV piping systems using 10-inch main run pipe and 6-inch branch pipe joined by solvent cement or mechanical methods per applicable plumbing code.
Installation of this fitting should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local plumbing code. Shut off water supply and ensure the drain system is depressurized and drained before cutting into an existing line. Use appropriate PVC primer and solvent cement rated for DWV service when joining; follow cement manufacturer's cure times before restoring flow. This fitting is not suitable for pressure piping, hot water supply lines, or systems exceeding the 140-degree-F temperature limit.
