The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-401-2X1-1/2X1-1/2 is a reducing sanitary tee fitting designed for PVC drain, waste, and vent (DWV) systems. The fitting transitions from a 2-inch inlet to 1-1/2-inch branch and outlet connections, making it a practical choice when combining fixture drain lines of different diameters into a single drain stack. It is engineered for gravity-fed, non-pressure waste elimination systems and is rated for service in environments where temperatures will not exceed 140 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and journeyman plumbing installers work with this fitting during rough-in on both new construction and remodel projects.
This sanitary tee is suited for residential and light commercial drain, waste, and vent applications. It is installed in gravity-flow drain systems where reducing the line size is required, such as tying a 1-1/2-inch lavatory or appliance drain into a 2-inch main DWV line. The fitting is compatible with standard Schedule 40 PVC DWV pipe and fittings using solvent-cement joining methods per ASTM standards. All CHARLOTTE PIPE fittings are manufactured in the USA.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for residential and light commercial PVC DWV piping systems using standard gravity-flow drain, waste, and vent configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off water supply and ensure the drain system is depressurized and clear before cutting into existing lines. Use approved PVC primer and solvent cement applied per manufacturer instructions for a code-compliant, leak-free joint. Do not use this fitting in pressurized supply systems or in applications exceeding the 140 degrees F temperature rating.
