The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC 4007 3/4 X 20 is a Schedule 40 PVC pressure pipe cut to a 20-foot length with a nominal pipe size of 3/4 inch. It is manufactured from PVC compound meeting ASTM D1784 and D1785 material specifications, with a wall thickness of 0.113 inches and plain ends on both sides. This pipe is rated for 480 psi at 73 degrees F and carries an NSF 14/61 listing, making it suitable for potable water and pressure system applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers, working in residential and light commercial settings. The white finish and solid PVC construction provide high tensile strength and strong impact resistance compared to foam-core DWV alternatives.
This pipe is designed for pressure and DWV applications in residential and commercial plumbing systems. The 20-foot plain-end length suits typical rough-in and distribution runs. It performs well in cold and hot water supply lines within its 140 degrees F temperature rating. Its solid-wall Schedule 40 construction also delivers better sound deadening characteristics than foam-core PVC pipe of the same schedule, which is a common consideration in multi-unit residential installs. Installation requires both primer and solvent cement per standard PVC joining practice. For pressure applications, sharply angled pressure fittings must be used at changes in direction.
Designed for use with Schedule 40 PVC pressure fittings and DWV fittings that accept plain-end 3/4-inch pipe. Compatible with standard PVC solvent-cement joining systems meeting ASTM D2564. For pressure service, use sharply angled pressure fittings at directional changes.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Turn off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or joining. Joining requires the use of both PVC primer and solvent cement — do not skip primer on pressure applications. Allow full cure time per the solvent cement manufacturer instructions before restoring pressure to the line.
