The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-309-2IN is a 2-inch PVC DWV long sweep 1/4 bend street elbow designed for drain, waste, and vent applications in gravity-fed, non-pressure piping systems. This fitting accepts a plain-end pipe on one side and a spigot (street) end on the other, eliminating the need for an additional coupling in tight installations. The long-sweep radius reduces flow restriction compared to a standard short-turn elbow, which helps maintain drainage velocity and reduces the chance of solids buildup. Rated for systems where temperatures will not exceed 140 degrees F, this fitting is well suited for residential and light commercial DWV rough-in work handled by licensed plumbers.
This fitting is used in gravity-fed drain, waste, and vent systems — typically in residential and light commercial construction or remodel work. Common install scenarios include branch connections at fixture drains, horizontal-to-vertical transitions, and locations where a full 90-degree change of direction is required with reduced turbulence. The street configuration makes it easy to connect directly to the spigot end of a hub fitting, saving a coupling and reducing the number of cemented joints in a run. No special cutting tools are required, and joining is accomplished with standard PVC solvent cement per applicable plumbing code.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 2-inch PVC DWV piping systems operating under gravity-flow, non-pressure conditions.
Installation of PVC DWV fittings should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local code. Shut off water supply and ensure the drain system is depressurized and clear before beginning work. Clean and dry all mating surfaces before applying PVC solvent cement, and allow adequate cure time before restoring flow. Do not use this fitting in pressurized supply lines or in systems where operating temperatures exceed 140 degrees F.
