The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC-302-6IN is a 6-inch PVC DWV 1/4 bend 90-degree street elbow designed for drain, waste, and vent piping systems. This fitting directs flow at a 90-degree angle and is configured as a street fitting, meaning one end accepts a spigot and the other accepts a hub, allowing direct connection without an additional coupling. It is manufactured from schedule-grade PVC material, making it lightweight and resistant to corrosion. Licensed plumbers and pipe fitters install this fitting in gravity-fed waste elimination systems in residential and light commercial construction. It is rated for non-pressure DWV service at temperatures not exceeding 140 degrees F.
This fitting is used in gravity-fed drain, waste, and vent applications where a 90-degree directional change is needed in a 6-inch PVC line. Typical install scenarios include main drain stack offsets, horizontal branch connections, and underground waste piping. It is suited for residential new construction and remodel work as well as light commercial plumbing projects. The street configuration is especially useful in tight spaces where eliminating an extra fitting reduces labor and material cost. Installation is completed using standard solvent cement joining, though threading, flanging, and roll-grooved joining methods are also compatible with this fitting type.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 6-inch PVC DWV piping systems operating under gravity-fed, non-pressure drain, waste, and vent service conditions.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off water supply and ensure the line is drained and depressurized before cutting into an existing system. When solvent cementing, use the appropriate PVC primer and cement rated for DWV fittings and allow full cure time before restoring flow. Do not use this fitting in pressure piping systems or in applications where operating temperatures exceed 140 degrees F.
