The Charlotte Pipe PVC-130-1-1/2 is a 1-1/2-inch PVC repair coupling engineered for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications. It is designed for gravity-fed, non-pressure waste elimination systems where operating temperatures will not exceed 140 degrees F. Manufactured from PVC, this coupling is lightweight and requires no special cutting tools, making field installation straightforward. Licensed plumbers use this fitting to restore or extend DWV piping runs using solvent cement joining. It is produced domestically, which is useful when project specifications require USA-manufactured materials.
This coupling is suited for residential and light commercial DWV systems where a 1-1/2-inch non-pressure fitting is needed. Typical applications include drain line repairs on sinks, lavatories, and similar fixtures served by gravity-flow waste piping. It is not rated for pressurized supply lines or systems that exceed the stated temperature limit. Joining methods include solvent cementing, threading, flanging, and roll-grooved joining, giving installers flexibility depending on the site condition and local code requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and repair fitting for 1-1/2-inch PVC DWV piping systems operating under gravity-flow, non-pressure conditions.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off flow and ensure the line is dry and depressurized before cutting into an existing drain line. When solvent cementing, use a PVC-rated primer and cement appropriate for DWV service and allow adequate cure time before restoring flow. Do not use this fitting on pressurized water supply lines or in applications exceeding the rated temperature limit.
