The CHARLOTTE PIPE pvc-116-10in is a 10-inch nominal PVC cap fitting designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV), sewer, and storm drainage systems. Manufactured from PVC cellular core material via an injection molding process, this cap provides a clean termination point on pipe runs where flow must be stopped or a line temporarily sealed. It carries an NSF 14 listing and meets ASTM C1784/1785 material specifications. The socket end connection accepts standard pipe for a solvent-welded joint, and the fitting is rated for service up to 140 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and drain system installers use this fitting in both new construction and retrofit applications.
This cap is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems where PVC DWV, sewer, or storm drainage piping is used. The 10-inch nominal size targets larger-diameter trunk lines, main drain headers, and storm sewer applications. The socket end configuration requires standard PVC solvent cement and primer for a code-compliant joint. It is manufactured under the Series PVC-116 product line, which covers PVC DWV cap fittings across multiple nominal sizes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 10-inch nominal PVC DWV, sewer, and storm drainage piping systems conforming to ASTM C1784/1785 standards.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes governing DWV and sewer drainage systems. Before cutting into an existing line, isolate the section and confirm no active flow is present. Clean and deburr pipe ends, apply the appropriate PVC primer, then solvent-cement the cap using a fitting-grade PVC cement rated for the pipe schedule and service type. Allow full cure time before pressurizing or returning the system to service.
