The Charlotte Pipe PVC 08400 2000HA is a 2-inch Schedule 80 PVC tee fitting with a Slip x Slip x Slip (SxSxS) connection pattern. Schedule 80 PVC is pressure-rated, thick-walled, and gray in color — distinguishing it from the thinner-walled Schedule 40. This tee is used to split or combine flow in pressurized piping systems. It is designed for plumbing and industrial applications where higher pressure ratings and greater wall strength are required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of Schedule 80 fittings in both new construction and retrofit projects.
This fitting is suited for residential and commercial pressurized water distribution, irrigation systems, chemical handling lines, and industrial process piping where Schedule 80 PVC is specified. The SxSxS configuration accepts solvent-welded connections on all three ports, making it compatible with standard Schedule 80 PVC pipe at the 2-inch nominal size. It is commonly used where a branch takeoff is needed in a straight run of pipe.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit fitting for 2-inch Schedule 80 PVC piping systems. Universal part reference 801-020 applies to this fitting type.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the system before cutting into any existing line. Use only PVC Schedule 80-rated solvent cement and primer on all slip connections, and allow full cure time before restoring pressure. Do not use this fitting with Schedule 40 solvent cement or on systems exceeding the pressure rating of Schedule 80 PVC at the operating temperature.
