The Charlotte Pipe Foundry Co. PVC 08102 1200HA is a Schedule 80 PVC threaded coupling designed for joining female pipe thread connections in pressurized fluid systems. Manufactured in gray PVC, this fitting provides a rigid, corrosion-resistant joint suitable for industrial, commercial, and residential plumbing applications. The female pipe thread on both ends allows direct connection to male-threaded pipe or fittings without additional adapters. Schedule 80 wall thickness offers greater pressure rating and mechanical strength compared to Schedule 40, making it appropriate for higher-demand service conditions.
This coupling is used in PVC Schedule 80 piping systems handling water, chemicals, and other fluids compatible with rigid PVC. Typical install scenarios include industrial process piping, irrigation systems, chemical distribution lines, and commercial plumbing where threaded connections are specified. It is sold in packages of 25 units, making it practical for contractors working on multi-connection jobs or maintaining shop stock of common fittings. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 3/4 inch Schedule 80 PVC threaded piping systems. Universal part reference 830-007 applies to this fitting.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus a measured number of turns per fitting manufacturer guidance — do not over-torque PVC threads, as cracking can occur. Verify system compatibility with PVC before installation in applications involving elevated temperatures or aggressive chemicals.
