The CHARLOTTE PIPE FOUNDRY CO. PVC 07112 1000HC is a Schedule 40 PVC DWV pipe sized at 1-1/2 inches in diameter and sold in 5-foot lengths. Dual-rated for both drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications and cold water pressure service up to 330 psi, this pipe covers a wide range of residential and light commercial plumbing installations. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this pipe in gravity-drain systems, vent stacks, and cold water supply lines. When used in pressure applications, pressure-rated fittings are required — DWV fittings are not acceptable for pressure service.
This pipe is suited for new construction and retrofit plumbing in residential and commercial buildings. Its Schedule 40 wall thickness meets the dimensional standards required for drain, waste, and vent systems as well as cold water pressure lines. The 5-foot cut length is practical for tight spaces, rough-in work, and applications where full 10-foot or 20-foot sticks would require additional cutting. Package quantity is 5 pieces per unit of measure, making it convenient for small-to-medium job staging.
Designed for use with Schedule 40 PVC DWV and pressure fittings sized for 1-1/2 inch pipe. When used in pressure applications, only pressure-rated Schedule 40 PVC fittings are permitted — DWV fittings must not be used in pressure service.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable International Plumbing Code (IPC) or local plumbing authority requirements. Shut off all water supply and confirm zero pressure in the line before cutting into an existing system. Use a fine-tooth saw or pipe cutter sized for PVC, deburr all cut ends, and apply the appropriate PVC primer and solvent cement for the service type. Never use DWV fittings on pressure service runs — always verify fitting pressure ratings before cementing.
