The CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC 04400 1000HC is a Schedule 40 foam core PVC pipe designed exclusively for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications. Co-extruded with a cellular core, this pipe is lighter than solid-wall PVC while maintaining the structural integrity required for gravity-fed waste elimination systems. It is rated for non-pressure service only, with a maximum temperature of 140 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and qualified contractors install this pipe in residential and light commercial DWV rough-in work. At approximately 6.375 pounds per unit, it is easy to handle and maneuver in tight framing cavities and chases.

This foam core pipe is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems where gravity drainage is the operating principle. Typical installations include drain lines, waste stacks, and vent risers in new construction and retrofit projects. Because it is rated for non-pressure systems only, it must not be used in pressurized water supply lines.
