The CHARLOTTE PIPE FOUNDRY CO. PVC 02110 0500HA is a PVC male reducing adapter designed to step down pipe size while transitioning to a threaded male end. It accepts a 3/4-inch slip socket on the inlet and provides a 1/2-inch male threaded outlet, allowing a technician to reduce line size and connect to female-threaded fittings in a single fitting. Manufactured in white PVC, it meets ASTM D 2466 requirements for Schedule 40 PVC pressure fittings. Licensed plumbers and irrigation installers use this adapter where a supply line must be reduced before connecting to a threaded valve, riser, or head assembly.
This adapter is commonly used in residential and light commercial sprinkler and irrigation systems where PVC piping is the primary distribution material. It fits into lateral lines, zone manifolds, and riser assemblies where a reduction from 3/4-inch mainline to a 1/2-inch threaded outlet is required. The slip inlet solvent-welds to standard Schedule 40 PVC pipe, and the male thread end mates to any standard female NPT fitting. Sold in a package quantity of 25 units, making it practical for multi-zone irrigation installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for Schedule 40 PVC irrigation and sprinkler system piping where a 3/4-inch slip to 1/2-inch male NPT reducing transition is required.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified irrigation technicians. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing piping. The slip end requires proper PVC primer and solvent cement applied per the cement manufacturer's instructions and ASTM D 2564. Apply thread sealant tape or approved thread compound to the male threads before connecting to the female-threaded fitting; do not overtighten threaded connections on PVC.
