The Charlotte Pipe Foundry Co. PVC 02108 3000HA is a PVC flush bushing designed to reduce a 2-inch PVC pipe connection down to a 1-1/4-inch female iron pipe (FIP) threaded fitting. Flush bushings sit flush inside a fitting socket, keeping the transition compact and low-profile compared to a hex bushing. This fitting is rated for pressure service, making it appropriate for potable water supply lines, irrigation systems, and other pressurized PVC piping applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of bushing when downsizing pipe runs at a fitting without adding significant length to the assembly.
This flush bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems that use Schedule 40 or pressure-rated PVC pipe. The 2-inch spigot end solvent-welds into a standard 2-inch PVC socket fitting, while the 1-1/4-inch FIP threaded end accepts a male-threaded pipe or fitting. Typical applications include water distribution, pool and spa plumbing, and irrigation manifolds where a clean inline reduction is needed. It ships in a package quantity of 10 units, making it practical for contractors stocking a service van or completing multi-connection installations.
Designed as an OEM-style pressure fitting for use with standard 2-inch PVC socket fittings and 1-1/4-inch male iron pipe threaded connections in residential and commercial PVC pressure piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off and depressurize the water supply completely before cutting into any existing line. The spigot end requires proper PVC primer and solvent cement per the fitting manufacturer instructions and ASTM standards. Do not overtighten the FIP threaded connection, as PVC threads can crack under excessive torque.
