The CHARLOTTE PIPE FOUNDRY CO. PVC 02107 1100HA is a white PVC reducer bushing designed to step down pipe diameter from 1-1/2 inches to 3/4 inches within a pressurized piping system. It uses a spigot x slip connection, allowing the spigot end to insert into a socket fitting while the slip end accepts a pipe directly. This bushing meets ASTM D 2466 requirements, confirming it is manufactured to recognized dimensional and performance standards for PVC pressure fittings. Plumbers, irrigation contractors, and sprinkler system installers use this fitting to transition between pipe sizes cleanly without additional adapters or couplings.
This reducer bushing is suited for residential and light commercial sprinkler and irrigation systems where a pipe size reduction is needed at a branch, valve connection, or riser point. Its white PVC construction is compatible with Schedule 40 PVC piping commonly used in low-pressure irrigation and potable-adjacent water distribution applications. The ASTM D 2466 rating makes it appropriate for standard cold-water service conditions typical of outdoor irrigation layouts. It is sold in packages of 25 units, making it practical for contractors stocking fittings for multi-zone sprinkler installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stock fitting for Schedule 40 PVC piping systems in sprinkler and irrigation applications meeting ASTM D 2466 requirements.
Installation is performed by plumbers or licensed irrigation contractors using standard PVC solvent cement and primer per the fitting manufacturer's instructions and applicable plumbing codes. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting into any existing line or removing fittings. Ensure mating pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and wiped clean before applying primer and cement. Allow full cure time per the solvent cement manufacturer's specification before restoring system pressure.
