The Charlotte Pipe PVC 02107 1050HA is a white PVC reducer bushing designed to reduce pipe size within a piping run. Configured spigot x slip, the male spigot end inserts into a fitting socket while the slip end accepts the smaller pipe directly. This fitting is manufactured to meet ASTM D 2466 standards, confirming dimensional and pressure-rating compliance for Schedule 40 PVC applications. It transitions from a 1-1/2 inch line down to a 1/2 inch line, making it a practical solution wherever a pipe reduction is needed without adding a coupling and separate bushing assembly. Plumbers and irrigation technicians install this fitting in both new construction and retrofit work.
This reducer bushing is suited for residential and light commercial sprinkler and irrigation systems where PVC pressure piping is standard. The spigot x slip configuration allows the fitting to nest directly into existing socket-end fittings on the larger side, keeping the assembly compact. It is commonly used at branch takeoffs, zone valve inlets, and lateral line transitions in underground and above-ground irrigation layouts. The white PVC construction is compatible with standard PVC solvent-cement joining methods.
Designed as an OEM-style Schedule 40 PVC fitting for use in sprinkler and irrigation systems piped with standard PVC pressure pipe and socket-end fittings meeting ASTM D 2466.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified irrigation technicians following local plumbing and irrigation codes. Shut off system water supply and relieve line pressure before cutting into any existing piping. Clean and prime both mating surfaces before applying PVC solvent cement, and allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before pressurizing the system. Do not use this fitting with CPVC or ABS solvent cements.
