The CHARLOTTE PIPE FOUNDRY CO. PVC 00109 0800HA is a DWV Schedule 40 PVC male pipe thread adapter designed to transition between a 1-1/2-inch hub connection and a 1-1/4-inch male pipe thread. This fitting is used in drain, waste, and vent systems where a threaded connection is required at a change in pipe size. Schedule 40 PVC construction provides adequate wall thickness and chemical resistance for residential and light commercial DWV applications. Plumbers install this adapter when connecting threaded trap arms, cleanout plugs, or other threaded components into a larger-diameter PVC hub. The package contains 25 units.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial drain, waste, and vent piping systems. It is typically installed where a 1-1/4-inch threaded fitting or trap arm must be secured into a 1-1/2-inch Schedule 40 PVC socket. Common applications include lavatory drain connections, P-trap assemblies, and similar DWV rough-in scenarios. The male pipe thread end accepts a standard NPT-threaded fitting, making it compatible with conventional threaded PVC or ABS transition components used in bathroom and kitchen drain configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard DWV fitting for use in Schedule 40 PVC drain, waste, and vent piping systems requiring a 1-1/2-inch hub to 1-1/4-inch male pipe thread transition.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off water supply and ensure the drain system is depressurized before beginning work. Solvent-weld the hub end to the mating PVC pipe using the appropriate PVC primer and cement; apply thread sealant tape or compound to the male pipe thread before engaging the threaded fitting. Do not over-torque the threaded connection, as PVC threads can crack under excessive force.
