The Charlotte Pipe Foundry Co. PVC 08102 1800HA is a Schedule 80 PVC coupling with Female Pipe Thread connections on both ends. It is used to join two sections of threaded pipe in a straight run without reducing or changing direction. Built from rigid gray PVC, this coupling meets the wall-thickness requirements of Schedule 80, making it suitable for higher-pressure applications where Schedule 40 fittings would be undersized. The 1-1/2 inch FPT x FPT configuration is a common size in commercial and industrial piping systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of new construction or repair work on above-ground or below-ground pressurized water, chemical, and irrigation lines.
This coupling is suited for use in residential and commercial plumbing, industrial process piping, and irrigation systems where Schedule 80 PVC is specified. The Female Pipe Thread connections on both ends accept standard NPT-threaded male pipe ends, making it straightforward to thread directly onto pipe or nipples. Typical installations include pump discharge lines, chemical distribution systems, and pressurized irrigation headers where the additional wall thickness of Schedule 80 provides extra durability and pressure capacity. This part is sold in packages of 10 units per package quantity.
Designed as an OEM-style Schedule 80 PVC replacement coupling compatible with standard 1-1/2 inch NPT-threaded Schedule 80 PVC piping systems. Also referenced under universal part 830-015.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on pressurized PVC piping systems. Isolate and depressurize the line and drain all fluid before beginning work. Apply an appropriate PVC-rated thread sealant tape or compound to the male threads before assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus a measured number of turns using a strap wrench — avoid over-tightening PVC threads, which can crack the fitting. Follow applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements for pressure testing after installation.
