The Charlotte Pipe Foundry Co. PVC 00100 1600HA is a 6-inch PVC Schedule 40 drain-waste-vent (DWV) coupling designed to join two same-size hub-end pipe sections in a continuous drainage line. Built from Schedule 40 PVC, this hub-by-hub fitting accepts standard 6-inch DWV pipe on both ends, creating a pressure-rated, leak-resistant joint when properly solvent-welded. It is a standard fitting in residential and commercial plumbing rough-in work and is installed by licensed plumbers working on gravity-drain systems. The package quantity is 15 units per pack, making it well-suited for larger projects requiring multiple fittings of the same size.
This coupling is used in drain, waste, and vent piping systems where a straight inline connection between two 6-inch PVC pipe runs is required. Typical applications include main building drain lines, stack connections, and horizontal drain runs in both residential and light commercial construction. It is appropriate for above-ground and below-slab installations where Schedule 40 PVC is code-approved. Plumbers working on new construction, remodel, or repair projects will find this fitting applicable in any system designed around 6-inch Schedule 40 DWV piping.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for use with 6-inch Schedule 40 PVC DWV pipe systems in residential and commercial plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local code. Before beginning work, shut off the water supply and ensure the drain line is clear and dry. Both pipe ends and coupling hubs must be cut square, deburred, and cleaned before applying PVC primer and solvent cement. Do not use solvent cement that has skinned over, and allow adequate cure time before pressurizing or restoring flow to the line.
